InstanceBeginEditable not editable from template or any page

I have created a template using SiteAssist and have a section of the template which is not editable from any location. The text is grayed out as follows in all associated pages including the template:

<!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="SideNavigation" --><!-- InstanceEndEditable --></div>
</div>
<div id="resources">
<h3>Resources</h3>
<p>xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx</p>
<p class="style1">xxxx xxxxxx </p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
</div>
</div>
<div id="innerRight"><!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="PageBody" -->[PageBody]<!-- TemplateEndEditable --></div>
<div style="clear: left"></div>
<div id="footer">
<div class="siteFooterLinks"> <a href="sitemap.htm">Sitemap</a> | <a href="webmaster.htm">Webmaster</a> </div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>

The rest of the template is editable from line 1 to this occurance at the end of the template. How do I change this area to editable again?

Resolved

Ok, Answered my own question. It was the line:

<!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="SideNavigation" --><!-- InstanceEndEditable -->

that did it. I edited the file outside of DreamWeaver 2004 and saved it. I then opened the file again in DreamWeaver and all the lines are now editable
