Javascript error when opening DW

Thank you for the free tools.

I do however get the following error(see images) when starting up DW CS6 after installation.
Also 'n grey window appears...

Installed it last after other extensions. None of the original extensions installed like Skype stand alone. Mountain Lion OSX. Also cleared MacFileCache.

thanks

What other extensions including version numbers are installed in the extension manager?

It was driving me nuts, so I uninstalled ECart, Surveyer and Standards Advisor. Still had the problem. Uninstalled Databridge and Design extender. Still had the error. Uninstalled DW and reinstalled. No error. Installed databridge, design extentor and free tools in that order and no error. Have not installed any of the other packages yet.

Surveyer and Standards Advisor are not compatible with DW CS6, they have been discontinued for some time now.

I am also getting the same WA_getExtensionDir is not defined message.

The error says at line 2 of file WebAssist/Preferences\RSSUpdate.js

Any fix for this as I want to keep surveyor installed as I use it for site submission.

Cheers,
Martin

Surveyor is not compatible with Dreamweaver CS6, if you wish to continue using it, you will need to use it in a previous version of Dreamweaver.

DW Startup Error

I suddenly started getting the following message upon starting DW CS 5.5:

At line 2 of file "C\Users\myname\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5.5\en_US\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\Preferences\RSSUpdate.js": WA_getExtensionDir is not defined.

I have NOT installed any new WebAssist extensions, nor have I uninstalled any.

Have you tried deleting the "configuration folder"

then once deleted..go into Adobe Extension manager remove all the extensions...
then load up dreamweaver (which will then re-create the configuration folder) close dreamweaver...then reinstall all the WebAssist extenstions...then install the extensions in the order that I beleive can be found somewhere in the forum...

also before you delete the configuation folder if you had customized the dreamweaver workspace then just copy that workspace file and save it somewhere safe on your computer..once the new configation folder has been created then copy back that workspace file (just in case you customized the interface)

please post a screen shot showing the extensions and versions numbers that are installed in the extensions manager. The error is most likely a conflicting extension, but i will need to know what is instal;led to be able to tell that the conflict is.
