Change "Country" fields to dropdown

The functioning of parts of the clients site is becoming increasingly dependent on the customer's country of origin.

Both the registration page and the front end users update page use the dropdown for selecting the country.

So to avoid any typos in the backend I need to change the field type for country in the backend users_update and users_insert pages from text field to the same dropdown for country.

1. How is this done for the two backend users_update and users_insert pages?

2. How is the current database value for the country displayed in the users_update page?

1) make note of the name of the countries text field, delete it, then add a select list and make sure to use the same name. After you add the select list, populate it the same way you populated the select list on the front end.

2) In the property inspector for the select list, clic the dynamic button. For the Select Value Equal To option, click the lightning bolt and select the Countries column binding from the Update page recordset.

I originally set up the site with Site Sculptor some time ago and dont remember setting up the country select list for the two front end pages. Would this have been done by Site Sculptor?

If it was, how can I copy over the select list from the front end to use in the backend.
The site is live so want to make sure I'm using the correct procedure before I do this.

I dont believe it would have been done by site sculptor.

I wouldn't copy and past code for the select list.

Just inspect how it was populated on the front end pages and populate it on the admin pages the same way.
