Configure Dynamic Menu Settings not working?

Hello,

Running DW CS 5.5 with WA DataBridge 1.0.5.

While setting up a login system I am trying to add a dropdown menu list to allow the user to choose a security level for the users and when I the "Configure Dynamic Menu Settings" wizard is opened I am unable to choose anything from the Dynamic options area (it is all greyed out.) All that I can do is set the one blank option. See picture attached.

It should also be noted that the Help button is not functional here either...

Anyone else run into this issue? I've tried the usual deleting of the cache and restarting the wizard, etc.

It would be really great if the multi user level functionality was added to the wizard - or is there another way to do this?

Thanks.

Do you have a user level table created in your database? It looks like the database you are using may not have any tables defined in it.

a common UserGroup table definition would look like this:

CREATE TABLE `usergroups` (
`UserGroupID` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
`UserGroup` varchar(50) DEFAULT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (`UserGroupID`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM AUTO_INCREMENT=2 DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1

Andrew, I did this very thing the other day and it worked fine for me. Not that that helps but... :-/

Sorry just re-read it. Mine wasn't for user levels. It was just a dynamic menu pulled from a database table. But it's probably the same thing I would have thought.

I am recreating all of a clients pages for their backend that was created some time ago using ADDT. As such there are a bunch of tables in my database, however upon looking further it seems that I hard coded the user levels.

As such there isn't one in the database, so I'll whip that up now and try again.

However.. should it not have allowed me to choose any of the other (15) tables that are in the database? ;)

Yes, you should have been able to select one of the existing tables in the database.

have you tried deleting the _mmServerScripts folder on the testing server?

If you go to the DataBase tab, expand the connection then tables section, does it show the tables?

The database connection is working well for the other pages that I have been working on in regards to this site, no issues... except for within the security page creation.

I haven't hit a page that I need to use drop-down list yet, but that will happen shortly, I'll see if it works within that aspect of the wizards.

Deleted mmscripts folder, restarted dw and still no go within the security wizard. Tables are visible within the pages.

For those interested in the resolution:-

Security Assisty was poping up an incorrect wizard, only static options should have been available, hard coding of the dynamic items would be required.
