updating4.5 to 4.5.3

Hi:

I uploaded my files to the remote server. I am totally lost.

1. l cannot find my admin password. How do I get make a new one?

2. I have two powerstore files on my server:
powerstore files: when seems to be an old update

powerstore: where I dragged the 4.5.3 files.
Can I delete the powerstore files folder?

Thank you,

Stuart

1) The admin user name and password are stored in the wa_settings table of the power store database.

2) I would think the powerstore files folder could be deleted. but cant say for certain.

try renaming it first. if nothing breaks on renaming it, then t should be safe to delete.

Lost password to admin reply

Jayson:

What folder are the wa_settings located in?

Thank you,

wa_settings is a table in the database.

you would need to use PHPMyAdmin or another GUUI tool to access the database to see the wa_settings table.

your host should offer a WebSite Control panel, in your website control panel, there should be a way to access the MySQL Database for your site, usually, the host will use PHPMyAdmin as the GUI for accessing the database. Using PHPMyAdmin, you can view the tables in the database, and the data that is stored in those tables, this will allow you to access the wa_settings table and view the data stored in it.

Contact your host for details on your sites control panel, and accessing the site database.
