I'm not familiar with this problem. Do you have a URL where I can view it? I'd probably need to look at the code to spot the problem.
Rob,
I get the same issue and it's even after using the latest FCKeditor files. I have a feeling, though, that this on the FKeditor side as FCKe has always had issues displaying correctly in Safari. You may want to poke around the forums at FCKeditor to see what they have come up with... I will take a look around, too, to see if I can find anything out.
Been seeing (and dealing with) this in safari for a while, but haven't reported it
Must admit I'm a bit disillusion with the whole iRite FCK setup
It doesnt have a proper file manager
The menus editing seems to have a mind of its own
Setting up the folders and config settings is such a pain it almost negates the whole iRite package
Tables are next to impossible to manage in the editor
cmon webassist - stop wrapping everyones else's work and reselling it as a half baked solution
not a happy customer!
We are currently working on an update to include file management and configuration. That wasn't a feature supported in the first version, so it required hand edits.
I trust your not going to charge iRite users for the next version
It would be extremely offensive to be charged again for something that doesnt work with the most popular current browser
as of today I have ZERO customers able to use iRite with IE8
and every time I use it on the mac, I have to wait for the half cut display bug to sort itself out
iRite should currently work with IE8. The issue with safari seems to be with the FCK editor and not our extension. We won't charge anything to anyone that is part of the subscription program ;)
I've sent a screen dump showing it is NOT working with IE8 - 3 separate users show the same problem. (Also confirmed by your own engineers)
You produce iRite. Its not down to the user to fix your choice to wrap another product in an installer. If you have any respect for your customers you should be issuing an iRite update that addresses both Safari and IE8 problems....not to keep selling it as it is????.....
....and you are kidding on the subscription thing?! - how about I do a contra invoice for time lost resolving the issues with iRite ;)
If you lose time using the product, then I would suggest not using them.
If you want me to do it for you I'll connect to your computer and update it for you. Like I said it takes about a minute.
Please send a sample URL with the iRite issue in IE8. I will look into it further.
Its a tad late to find out somethings not working - after you've installed it
Its not about fixing a product I purchased from you this end. Its about you fixing the product and resupplying.
Too late - have had to take remedial action and update it myself. Please talk to your engineers who confirmed to issue.
