Can I send email only if user changes key data

Can I send email only if user changes key data

I would like to set up an email to be generated to the existing email address record and to the new email address to assure that the account owner knows that they're account has been modified. I would rather not generate a note every time that the form is updated, only the email and another key field.

Can I set up a validation where old email does not equal new email value to use as the trigger and if I do that, will it allow the user to update data base values and return to profile?

Thanks for the assistance.

this would require hand coding to accomplish,

you would need to create code that compared the original values in the database with the posted values and create an if statement around the UE code to send the email if they are different.

We could help you create this code in a premiere support appointment.
