linking to dataassist created dynamic pages

I kind of new to this so bear with me
quick summary:
xampp up and running running (all testing done on this local server)
dynamic store designed with data assist set-up and running
static main website setup and running
links between all php pages (nav & buttons) work great
links between all php pages and html pages OK
all html links OK

? when I attempt to link from html nav to php store (ie href="xyzResults.php")either the testing server cannot display the page or the link is dead (nothing happens). I've used index.html and index.php pages - no difference.

I'm sure I'm missing something - like php or config code in the static files.
please help.

there should not be anything special to create the links, just a standard a href tag:

<a href="results.php">Click here</a>

open the page you are trying to add the link to in the browser, whats the address in the address bar?

open the results page in the web browser, whats the address in the address bar? you may need to adjust the link for relativity to the site root.
