Checkout Success and Failure Page Question

Checkout Success and Failure Page Question

Hi,

When testing the checkout failure page to see how it worked, I did not place any credit card information in the credit card fields. This resulted in sending me to the log in page as if I had just logged in. Isn't it suppose to take me to the failure page? Where can I find the code to correct this?

Also, do I validate the credit card fields through WebAssist validations?

Please help...

Thank you!

have you applied security assist access restriction to any of the checkout pages? is there access restriction applied to the confirm page? or to the failure page?

yes, use server validations for validating the credit card fields.

see the following thread for details on using server validation on the eCart checkout pages:

Jason,

I applied access restrictions only according to the Applying Registration/Login to your Checkout Process tutorial.

I have attached 3 pages of the checkout process.

Thank you :)

on the failure page, you have applied the checkout rule access restriction, that rule should only be added to the login page, that rule is causing the failure page to redirect to the login page.

Jason,

That worked... of course :)

Thank you!

Validations Question

Jason,

The validations are all working except when the modify information buttom on the confirm page directs to the checkout page. The form drop down lists maintain the validated information, but the form fields do not.

I read and reread the link you directed me to, but after triying several times to bind the validated entries from the confirm page to the checkout page, I had no success.

I did use the Dreamweaver spry validations for the billing information and shipping information, would this prevent me from being able to accomplish this?

Thank you again...
