SA version 2 Headaches!!!!!

I have all weekend been trying to run SA Ver 2 to set up a simple registration, But I get one issue after another, first it was that half the pages wouldn't get created, then the form field would be outside of the content div, now I am getting all the Validation "hints" showing on the page when it loads.

I have tried everything that is normally suggested, even started with a totally clean site with nothing except a blank php file to run SA and still it doesn't work.

"I am not a happy camper as I have spent thousands of dollars on WA products over the last few years and they never seem to run without dramas"

If someone can suggest a way to get this to work I would be most grateful as it is just wasting my time "fumbling around" trying to get it them to work.

I'm running DW 5.5 on Vista Business with a php and mySQL testing server

I'm wondering if SA2 is compatable with DW5.5 as I still am having problems getting SA to run on my computer, there is just one error after another.

Any ideas?

Some of the problems I have encountered!

In the interface "manage pages" section

1. When I try to rearrange the column positions, the interface always only moves the last entry regardless of which one is highlighted.

2. Any changes I make to the validation requirements, don’t get saved and revert back to the default e.g.: Max number of characters 500

General Errors

3. If I select the default on everything and run the wizard, I get the five pages but the validation “hints” are shown as text on some or all of the pages when viewing in a browser.

4. When I apply a template to the pages, the SA pages don’t sit in the “content” area but above and there is code written under the WA CSS menu writer menu when viewed in a browser.

5. On one occasion I ran the wizard and went to test the pages (with the above errors showing) when I entered a First name e.g. James in the registration page; it came up with min characters not meet. When I checked the validation setting for first name it said min characters required 50. (not sure how many people have a first name that is 50 characters long :-) )

Also, how do you change the default Country that shows in the registration page and user update page to something like Australia?

How do you change the redirect after someone has “logged in” from having them go back to the login page but to a page of my choice?

These are just a few of my reasons for discontent with this extension.

So, in an attempt to resolve these problems as I have got no assistance for a couple of days, I uninstalled every extension from the computer and uninstalled dreamweaver and then reinstalled the program and each extension in turn making sure I read the instructions about order to install etc.

No I get the attached error!!!!!

I am fast getting fed up with this....I'm not a Developer and according to your sales "spin" no coding experience needed

"Q: Can SecurityAssist be used without any coding knowledge?

A: Yes. SecurityAssist can be used without any prior coding experience or knowledge."

Yet where is the instructions on what to do to get it to work?

Because it sure isn't working for me and from what I read in the forums there maybe a few others that are having problems.

I couldn't agree more

I have tried 3 times (equal to 20 hours) to get security assist to work and I have failed repeatedly. I too am a designer not a developer and feel completely duped by the "no coding necessary" sales techniques. There was no way to test out all the extensions in the 15 day trial period, since nothing worked fast enough to have success and I feel completely lost.

Nightmare with SA2

Jason,
I am having a meltdown working with Security Assist 2. I have had similar problems to the above, from dreamweaver crashing to my templates not working with the created pages to a bunch of error messages. I thought I have resolved the issues, only to discover that I was very wrong.

The "Configure Field Settings" menu is inconsistent, changing my settings either while I'm inside it or after I hit OK. My required fields change, labels change, etc. I have been working on these login pages since Saturday (all day Saturday, part of Sunday, and so far all day today), without getting any closer to finishing them. In my last series of created pages, I have received these error messages on my userupdate.php (I honestly don't have the strength to look at them anymore):

Warning: Missing argument 4 for WAValidateZC(), called in C:\xampp\htdocs\guitar-tables\userupdate.php on line 50 and defined in C:\xampp\htdocs\guitar-tables\webassist\form_validations\wavt_scripts_php.php on line 843

Warning: Missing argument 7 for WAValidateZC(), called in C:\xampp\htdocs\guitar-tables\userupdate.php on line 50 and defined in C:\xampp\htdocs\guitar-tables\webassist\form_validations\wavt_scripts_php.php on line 843

Also, when I try using the forgotpassword.php page, I receive a message that "Your email address could not be found in our records. Please try again." Yet the email has clearly registered correctly and is showing in my database "visitors" table after going through the registration page.

I do not know what other issues this group of login pages have at the moment. This is so frustrating and is taking up so much time. You have provided a ticket for me on another issue (DataAssist Detail page) and I have requested that someone contact me tomorrow afternoon. I am not sure if I can also address this SA issue under that ticket as well. Please let me know. I am attaching the files that WA has created with SA2.

Thank you

Errors in SA2

Hi Jason,
I have posted 2 more errors on my support ticket 131675. Are there any fixes you may know of at this time for these issues (ie. the two last posts of my support ticket) ??
Thanks
