Error - Unable to edit database with provided user credentials

I just recently started getting this error. I'm not sure why since all permissions are set to 777 and I'm trying to connect as the root user which has all database privileges. Never had this problem before. This is happening on a site that already has PCMS Builder installed.

Using the latest PCMS Builder version / DWCS5.5 / OS 10.6.8

In case anyone else runs across this problem, Dani was able to help me resolve it.

There is a bug in DWCS5.5 that sometimes occurs when defining a new site. We trashed the existing and and created a new one through the Manage Sites process in DW. That cleared up the user credential error that was occurring.

Anything besides creating the site over again? I've done that, but am getting the same error message when trying to add my first content area. I can create tables using the same credentials using MySQL Workbench.

I was able to get past that error by setting my site testing server to the same as my remote server.

I forgot to mention that this issue was only happening to me in my local testing environment. I was able to use PCMS Builder with the remote server just fine. Once we determined that it was only affecting me locally, we tried setting up the brand new site definition. Also, only checking the 'Testing' checkbox in the Servers section was key for the local settings.
