Permissions of folders created by Image Resizer

I have discoverd that any folder created by Image Resizer is assigned the "apache" user which means that I am unable to edit the folder permissions or delete the files.

I was wondering if anyone else has come across this and worked out how to fix it?

Is there a setting inside Image Resizer where you can specify what User is assigned to the folders it creates?

Image Resizer 1.0.0
Plesk Panel
Dreamweaver CS5
Win 7 (64bit)

I'm not sure how you could change that. You could look at the include file and change the default permissions by finding and replacing 0777 with the permissions level you would like set, but I can't find a referenced of how to change the user when using the mkdir() function in php to create a directory.
function.mkdir.php

Thanks for replying Ray.

I can only presume that other people are not having this problem, or that they've managed to solve it without posting a message to the forum.

I have also asked the people supplying my server about how to ensure that any new folders created by PHP code are given the appropriate ownership. I am waiting for them to get back to me. It's not so much to do with the permissions, 777, etc., but more to do with who "owns" the folders and files.

The problem is that I've getting "Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied..." and "Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open ..." errors on the live server. It works fine on my localhost.

Through some searching I've found a module called "suPHP" which may help with getting the folder ownership correct, however as there have not been any other mentions of this problem I'm wondering if there is another, simpler, solution.

It could possibly be the permissions of the parent folder need to be set to 0777... it is also possible that you need to set the permissions to 0755. Some hosts actually restrict permissions on folders with full permissions as odd as that sounds, and you need to set the permissions to 0755 to get full permissions.

I hadn't check when I wrote the last message, however it would seem that the server company have manually changed the owner of the folders that Image Resizer has created, which means that, for the moment at least, it's working.

If I have any other update I'll post back.
