Shipping and Taxes

I have added rules and setup the Shipping Options with Access key and information for UPS. When I check cart and total, it shows neither the shipping added or taxes in total price.

shipping and taxes will not be computed till you advance from the checkout page to the confirm page.

Are you just looking in the cart, or are you going through the checkout process the confirm order page?

I have gone all the way and actually paid PayPal and still no taxes. I have 3 taxes in tax rules. One is in the location of the business and 1 is in the location where the user is. Shipping is working now though. Also noticed that nothing happens when I try to edit a Tax rule...page does nothing again.

I have created a support ticket so we can look into this issue further.

This issue is still not resolved but the ticket was closed. This is what I put back in the ticket:

Customer Support told me to replace the entire webassist folder from Powerstore 4.5.
This is not possible. We have been making changes to this site for 6 months trying to get it working. There are over 1700 files and 700 folders in this directory and these are where most of our changes have been made. I am only having 3 issues left to being able to complete this site. 1) Taxes never show up on during checkout, 2) Shipping is calculated incorrectly from UPS. Are there other variable or something to see what is sent during shipping check to UPS and how to view what it is returning? The value being charged is less than the actual cost by a few dollars. 3) When looking at order history for user or admin, Receipt only showing Item total, not what the customer actual paid, which should include shipping and taxes.

it appears that this is due to upgrading PowerStore 4.x to PowerStore 4.5 but not uploading all of the updated files from the install/webassist folder.

In order to add the updated features such as shipping an tax rules, all of the files from the install/webassist folder must be updated on your server, it is not possible to have these updated functions work if all of the files are not updated.

These issues were solved through an individual support ticket.
