Sending an acknowledgment email

I have a newsletter signup form from which I would like to send an acknowledgment email when the submit button is clicked. How do I accomplish this?

Add Universal Email to the page, set the trigger to use Current page submit. For the to address, click the lightning bolt and select the email address form element.

Your signup form probably has a Insert record behavior on it, you will need to make sure the insert behavior does not redirect to another page.

Thanks Jason. That's what I suspected, but I didn't think about conflicts between the "go to" in the insert recordset and the "go to" in the UE. Am i okay to enter a go to in UE?

Yes, UE will be added as the last behavior on the page, the redirect can be added to UE.

Everything is working, but those signing up are receiving two acknowledgment emails rather than just one. Anything I can do here?

please send a copy of your page and the webassist/email directory in a zip archive so I can inspect the code to see why it is being sent twice.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the webassist/email directory?

in your site, there will be a folder named "webassist" which will contain another folder named "email"

I need a copy of this "email" folder to inspect the code.
