Frustrated over menus - need advice

SS is not the most intuitive program I've used, but I've used worse and seriously you get what you pay for right? SS gets the job done for the most part, but I'm finding it almost impossible to get navigation to work in anything but the MOST BASIC text type of menu.

Take a look at www.photoaskew.com with its main navigation of:
home about services portfolio contact
it's kinda bland and crappy. I know we can have better and here's where SS can help.

The is a product called SoThink DHTML Menu by SourceTec. A nice product that generates some nice .JS files for many types of navigations. For example here's the code generated for one of my other sites:

<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript1.2">
<!--

How can we get this into Site Sculpture or how can we create better navigation menus in Site Sculpture? Give me some method to create some nice looking interactive menus in SS and I'll be a happy camper. Because right now I do not see any support for creating menus except as simple horizontal or vertical TEXT based menus.

The navigation created by site sculptor uses CSS Menu Writer engine. to create CSS Styled menus.

I can see from looking at the source code of your page that you have edited the code so it is not longer using the css menu writer menu.
By editing the source code of the menu, you have broken the css styled menu created by Site Sculptor.

Still Confused of Menus

Thanks for the reply Jason but I'm still confused. I'm easily confused, I know :)

So in order to have menus other than text menus I should buy CSS Menu? Or are you saying that menus should have been set up when the template was created? Can you point to instructions on that, if so? Templates aren't templates as used in Dreamweaver but a complete site design/sitemap minus textual content?

No, you do not need to buy menu Writer.

Site Sculptor has the menu Writer engine built in and will create CSS Based menus when the site is created.

if you creating your own custom site from a DW Template, see the "Creating a custom template for Site Sculptor" tutorial on the site sculptor support page:
