Frequently Asked Questions
Site Sculptor will create PHP pages if:
a) you have chosen to include content management when creating your site. Or,
b) your Dreamweaver site definition settings are configured for PHP.
Once you have created your site with Site Sculptor, you will need to have a PHP testing server installed on your computer or you will not be able to preview these pages. However, in order to properly configure your content management, you should upload these pages to your live server and navigate to the URL in your browser instead.
If you would prefer Site Sculptor create HTML pages and do not require the content management feature, make sure that your Dreamweaver site definition settings are not configured for PHP and uncheck the enable content management checkbox when creating your site in Site Sculptor.
No. To maintain the content management feature, you are unable to reenter the Site Sculptor interface for making additional changes to your site. For this reason, we encourage users to save presets as they customize their site type and site design. This will allow you to recreate the site very quickly based on the settings you have configured previously. However, the content management will also be recreated when recreating a site and any content changes will be overwritten.
The Home page that is generated by Site Sculptor is a standalone page that does not use a template. All other pages are generated based on a Dreamweaver template named that you can locate in the Templates folder of your site. Any changes you make to the Site Sculptor template will be reflected on all the content pages except the home page.
