PowerCMS 2.1.1 update

Trying to do a update from PowerCMS 2 to 2.1.1 according to documentation: To upgrade from an older version of PowerCMS, use the same database as the older version.

although when selecting the DB I receive an error:
ERROR: The xxxxxx database is not empty, it already contains tables named pcms2_contenthistory, pcms2_contents, pcms2_usergroups, pcms2_users. Please delete these tables or create an empty database for PowerCMS to use

what to do?
thanks in advance for any advice.

you do not need to run the install script when performing an Update.

it sounds like the Connections folder has been deleted, so it is running through the install instead of updating.

In this case, create a new database in the install wizard.

after the install has been completed, edit the Connections/PowerCMSConnection.php file to use the old database instead of the new one.
