adding/removing items to the basket without the need of refreshing the page

I'm using eCart5 for a request quotation form but every time click on add to basket button, the page refresh and move up (the list on the page is very long).
I'd like adding/removing items to the basket without the need of refreshing the page.

Is possibile? Is available a tutorial or a jquery plugin for this?

Thanks

If is not possibile with ajax (using jquery or others) is possibile to insert a simple script in the "cart button" link to return to the previous position on click (I'm using a datagrid and the users can search, filters or restrict the values)?

I have tried with onclick="javascript:history.go(-1)" but not works

Thanks Dave but it's too much complicate for me, I don't have the knowledgebase for create a jquery script code.

WebAssist offer the possibility (with payment) to create a personalization about your eCart (not refresh page)?
If not, do you know any ecommerce solution with ajax implementation?

Regards,
Michele

Michele,

jCart is a free PHP / jQuery powered cart but you would have to integrate your own payment provider, database etc. into it.

This type of functionality is something that I have been planning to look at for a while for my clients but I am just to busy at the moment to develop and refine it.

WA *may* build something like this into Powerstore eventually, they already have some jQuery powered stuff in the admin, but I cannot see it making it's way into eCart as part of the wizard at the moment.

Views expressed are my own. yadda yadda

No, this is not supported functionality of eCart, it will require hand coding to accomplish that we will not be able to assist with.

One of the community experts may be willing to help you with this if you post in the Job Board Forum.
