How Do I Customize PowerStore 3 with eCart for Quotes Instead of Payments?

Hi,

I have Powerstore 3 and eCart 5 only. In the eCart features list it says I can use it to 'Build Shopping Cart Without Payment Provider'. I want to modify a Powerstore 3 site so that visitors can add products to the cart and instead of going through the payment process they submit their 'order' as a 'Quote Request'. I get an email detailing products that they want quotes for. There would be no payments involved and there would be no prices, shipping costs or taxes displayed at all.

How do I go about this? This is my first time using eCart so step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated. I searched but could not find any documentation or help on this topic.

No need to modify power store with eCart. In the admin settings you can set the gateway to none to bypass the need for a payment gateway. You can also set taxes and shipping to none.

Thanks for the reply Jason. I have already done this but the checkout page still asks for billing information. The cart page also shows prices and order totals and subtotals. I just want the user to add a bunch of products to their cart, specify shipping info (so we can quote them shipping costs after talking to our freight forwarder) and that's it. The site is a B2B site that will generate leads from people looking to purchase large quantities. We are a wholesale and would, for example, sell products to people who run ecommerce stores, physical stores, ebay sellers and so on.

It's going to be a big task to modify power store not to show prices and such, not to require the billing information and all of the other pieces you want to remove.

it would be simpler to create this from the ground up using ecart and data assist than it will be to modify power store.
