HTML EDITOR - (how to clear html tags before I update a record)

HTML EDITOR - (how to clear html tags before I update a record)

When I select a record to update, it shows the html tags and on the Source view some funny characters (e.g. href="www). Can you please let me know if it is possible to clear the html tags automatically before I update the record?
Once I have updated the record on PHP_my_Admin table layout I need to have the HTML tags so when I display data by using a record Set I need the html tags there (this works fine).

In other words, my customer doesn't know HTML and I don't want to confuse him.
What I am asking is a nice user interface for my customer to change some of the contents on his website. This is why I bought HTML EDITOR in the first place.
For the mean time I am asking him to delete the contents and retype them but he is not happy with this.

Current example when I try to update a record using the HTML Editor:

Source View:

the link below for address and map details. <a href="page.php" class="Click_Here </a>

Normal view:
the link below for address and map details. <a href="http://www.website.com/page.php" class="englishe_blue">Click_Here</a>

What I need is:

Source View:
the link below for address and map details. <a href="http://www.website.com/page.php" class="englishe_blue">Click_Here</a>

Normal View:

the link below for address and map details. Click_Here

sounds like the initial value for the HTML Editor instance has formating applied to it that is converting the html tags to html entities.

Edit the HTML Editor instance, for the initial value, click the lightning bolt and reselect the recordset column to clear any formatting that may have been applied initially.

Do you have an example I can see?

It is probably an issue with the way the default value is specified in the html editor. Make sure it isn't replacing or encoding the html... I think you probably just have to remove the code that is forcing it to show the source...

If you pasted the html editor code I could show you how to adjust it.

How can I delete my own styles from HTML editor styles

I just wanted to know how can I delete the style presets I have added to html editor styles?

Thank you

You should be able to delete the preset from the preset manager, which you will find as a separate entry in the main menu.

If not, you can also delete it manually from: Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\RichTextEditor\Presets

How do I get rid of source formatting in HTML view?

Hi Ray,
I am attaching a a screen shot on which I am getting some source formatting when I go to edit or update my text in html area, this is a RTL text.

I have followed some comments to get rid of this, also read online document, but I cannot escape from this view. I think you can improve the editor and give us a fix for this as many people don't know how to fix by ourselves.

One more question, how can I set align right on the text area which I am using HTML editor.

Thank you for your support.
