Need to shorten checkout form

Thread began 12/17/2010 1:23 am by rgodinez349368 | Last modified 12/17/2010 10:10 am by Jason Byrnes | 944 views | 1 replies |

Need to shorten checkout form

My customer wants to shorten, or completely bypass the checkout form(preferably), and send people directly to paypal (using paypal standard).
Everything is working fine, except he wants to shorten the form, or completely eliminate it.
Products are down-loadable as well as physical product.
In regards to the down-loadable product, paypal sends them back to the shopping cart so the customer may download the product they just purchased.
If I just add a paypal button outside the shopping cart, it is just fine, except, after the transaction is complete in paypal, the download does not get activated, and at that point the shopping cart does not know that there is a pending download.
I looked in paypal to see if there is the option of down-loadable products, but did not see anything specific.
Could anyone shed some light on a possible solution?

Thank you for your help.

Jason ByrnesWebAssist

the cehckout form is required for paypal checkout to process, shortening or bypassing it is not a supported modification.

using your own paypal buttons will not work in power store, your paypal buttons do not get added to the power store cart to be stored in the database on checkout.
