Powerstore 3 -Can I remove a validation

I have a client who does not want to enter the price for the items but instead wants Call for Price to appear. Another user asked this question about 2 years ago and was told that the price validation could be removed, but no more info was provided. Can you direct me to the file I need to edit to delete the price field numeric entry validation?

from the products insert page in the admin folder, delete the following 2 lines:
var sprytextfield4 = new Spry.Widget.ValidationTextField("sprytextfield4", "real", {validateOn:["blur"]});

Please Note:
This is not a modification we can offer support for, power store does not support free items, this may cause issues when going to the gateway if only the free item is in the cart, the gateway will not process a transaction for $0

Thanks for your response. No worries as this store is "for display only" since it is a high-end jewelry client that wants to "haggle" prices rather than post what in the jewelry biz is always a "starting-point" price (at least at this end of the market).

As long as the store doesn't break by me editing those lines, great. I actually would love to get rid of the "add to cart" button too since this is more of a "gallery" than a store, but it needs to be sortable and searchable by category and I don't know of an actual gallery solution that allows this. The open-source Zen-Cart allows you to set up a store as a gallery-only store, but it is so obtuse to customize the code & appearance (even with their huge manual) that I prefer the look and ease of your solution.

removing that code from the producs insert wont break he store f you are not passing through the gateway.


to remove the add to cart button, edit the product detail page and remove this code:
<input type="image" src="Images/btn_addtocart.png" border="0" value="Add to Cart" name="WA_Store_Cart_1_ATC">
