PayPal not approving credit card due to address

PayPal not approving credit card due to address

On testing the cart I used 2 different addresses for the billing address and shipping address. The shipping address gets pushed through to PayPal as the one and only address, but PayPal will not process the sale because the shipping address is not associated with the credit card.

How can I fix this? I can't ask for just a one address as the product needs to ship UPS and some people have their credit cards go to a PO Box.

Thanks!

The paypal standard api only allows for one address to be passed over to paypal.

the address that is passed over to paypal is set on the confirm page in hidden elements.

you can modify those hidden elements to use the billing info passed from the checkout page instead of the shipping elements passed.

Is there any way the shipping information can be sent over to PayPal in the same way that the item description information is sent?

I think you could add fields to the hidden form on the confirm page. You'd have to look up in the paypal standard api what fields are accepted and how they are used to see if they will populate the shipping information and in what cases it is used. It may have to use a shipping profile defined on the paypal site in some cases.

Okay, I'll look into it. Thanks!
