Multiple Tables

Hey, can somebody please tell me hoe to link my ecart to more than one table?

I have tables for different companies and when a visitor buys products from different companies ie tables I need ecart to get the data like it would have done from only one table and show the info.

Any help will be geatly appreciated as I am working under time.

Thanx

this all comes down to how you create the recordsets that the ecart add to cart button uses.

you will need to use a separate add to cart button for each table and create a recordset for each table, you would probably want to show products for one table on one page and the products from the other table on the other page

I tried to add a recordset for each product but when I go to view cart then it mixes the products up. I only get the info from the first recordset but not from the second recordset.

I tried multiple varients and it keeps giving me everything except the corect outcome.

I am still in the testing phase. my site is www.henkor.co.za . All my products are currently in one database and this is very time consuming to go and search a table of a couple of thousand products just to change one product.

The attatched file is onle for testing purposes thus there are no actual products on there.

Thanx in advance.

Both of the add to cart from recordset behaviors are set to use the same recordset (Recordset2) on the first screen

Both of the add to cart from recordset behaviors have the ID hard coded to 1.

You have set both of the behaviors up identically

But how can that be? I created two recordsets and in the add to crart setup I specified each button its own recordset.

I have to hard code the buttons as each one at this point links to a spesific product in the table. Will have it dynamicly created later on.

That is where a nother question comes in, if I create dynamic pages with add to cart buttons how will I set the recordset up then or will I have to create a recordset for each table on the master data page?

I know it is a lot of questions but I sit half way around the world from you and there are no people this side of the planet that is able to help me.

Thanx in advance.

I have sent you the modifications that I have made aswell as a screen capture and the code for the page.

When I test my page it now pulls the info from the second recordset not the first even though I created the buttons one at a time.

For some reason Dreamweaver cs4 puts this code "mysql_free_result($Recordset1);" in and when I test the page I get this error "Warning: mysql_free_result(): 6 is not a valid MySQL result resource in C:\Users\Henkor\Desktop\henkorsite\henkorsite\tester.php on line 262"

When I take that code out then I dont get the error any more but even before I take the code out the page still doesn't work.

Thanx

Hey Jason.

Could you see anything wrong or where I went wrong?

the only issue i see is that the record sets are basically pulling identical data.

the add to cart buttons are created correctly, they are each referencing different recordset, but they are both using the id_tb column as the ID and are both hard coded to use the value 1.

I dont think it;s the first add to cart button is using recordset 2, I think recordset 1 is pulling identical info.
