customer category pages

What is the best way to create a custom page for each category? Or some categories?

I understand that when a user clicks on a category link it takes them to the Results page. Is there a way to have this page customized?

Mainly, the customer wants the user to be able to see a picture on top and the listing of products below that are in the category.

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure I follow, when you click a category in the side menu or the main menu, the results page is already configured to display only the products that belong to that category.

You can certainly further customize the webassist/plugins/catalog/results.php page if you like.
