Garbled code out of the zip file

Ok, just to make sure I didn't do anything wrong, I downloaded this zip file for the 3rd time. I uploaded the files without making any changes to them at at all and I get a whole page full of garbled code with this at the bottom:

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /nfs/c05/h01/mnt/69578/domains/yumemedia.net/html/qprod/WA_ValidationToolkit/WAVT_Scripts_PHP.php:14) in /nfs/c05/h01/mnt/69578/domains/yumemedia.net/html/qprod/WA_ValidationToolkit/WAVT_ValidatedForm_PHP.php on line 3

On this page: contactus.php

Can anyone tell me what this is?

can you send a copy of your WA_ValidationToolkit/WAVT_Scripts_PHP.php file?

It looks like this file becoming corrupted for you some how. I just tried downloading the contact form solution pack and could not reproduce the problem.

here is a copy of the WA_ValidationToolkit/WAVT_Scripts_PHP.php file that I downloaded, see if this one works for you.

WAVT_Scripts_PHP.php.zip

I'm attaching both files in a zip, just in case you need the other one. I will try out the one you've attached and report back.

Ok, your script worked. I really don't understand what happened. I download the zip and unzip it. I download the files using the Mozilla browser. Then I copy the files over to the folder containing the website I'm currently working on. Then I check for that BOM signature that you all say to check for. I make the files writable since they are only viewable when I copy them over (I just do a 'save as' for this) and that's it. I upload using WS_FTP, same as I just uploaded the script you sent.

glad to hear the file I sent worked.

I dont have an explanation for the problem, the file I sent was downloaded directly from the contact Form Solution pack downloads in the download center.

Unfortunately, I'm now having a problem with adding my template to the file. It doesn't seem to matter whether I use DW's "Apply Template to Page" or just copy/paste. I always get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function validatedfield() in /nfs/c05/h01/mnt/69578/domains/yumemedia.net/html/qprod/contact.php on line 83

When I copy/paste, it sites line 63. When I "Apply Template to Page" it's line 83.

Is there something else special to do to add a template to this form? I've been using this form a couple of years now but, this last update has been giving me the blues. LOL

Here is my form page:
contact.php

Edit: Unfortunately, at this moment, I just got a text stating that MediaTemple is having an issue with my part of the server so you may not be able to view my pages right now. Just keep checking back. Thanks :-)

Thanks

refer to the original contact.php page, notice all of the php code before the doctype tag. make sure this code is still in tact after applying the template, if not, copy if from a an original of the contact.php file into the new one.

Yes, I did that. I copy it in sections i.e. PHP code, head code, body code.

the validatedfield() function is defined in the WAVT_ValidatedForm_PHP.php file.

that error indicates that the include line for the WAVT_ValidatedForm_PHP.php file is missing.

Well, I'm staring right at it. LOL All PHP code above the HTML code is there. Hmmm, shall I send you the file?
