How place Gallery on a Dreamweaver template?

How place Gallery on a Dreamweaver template?

Hello,

I have PowerGallery working (really nice) but the Gallery is displaying on a blank, white page. I'd like to have the Gallery display on a page that has "header" and "footer" areas so that it is visually compatible with my other web pages. Ideally, I'd like to have the Gallery display on a Dreamweaver defined Template page but if that's not possible how could I define it so that it displays on a page with a header and footer area that I "manually" define?

I am aware of the two PDFs @ powergallery/ but from my initial reading of them they describe how to change the Gallery's appearance & behavior but I see nothing about how to "place/embed" the Gallery in another page.

Also, I'm curious - when I add a folder of images to a Gallery it takes 3 to 4 seconds to "process" each image. I know that each image has a row for it added to the database table but what in the world is going on that takes so "much" time? (This is true even on a local testing machine.)

Thank you.

To display on a page: in the gallery admin, see add to site. Use the php code and copy into a page layout of your own.

Each image is being processed and resized to work with the galleries. So its taking a few seconds since new files are being written for each image.

Hi biz295654,

Thanks for the suggestion. Once I read it I realized that it was one of those "duh" moments since that makes perfect sense!

Thanks again.

Hi Justin,

Thanks for explaining the delay. Your answer actually touches on another problem that I'm posting a new incident for. My photos are being truncated. If you can help with that I hope you'' respond to my next post.

Thanks.
