eCart 4 UPS Shipping Issues

Hello,
I am having an issue with setting up UPS shipping on eCart 4.5.2. Currently what happens, is that the shipping total seems to be of only of one item, not of all the items shipping. Due to weight, there is a separate package for each item, and it's not taking this into consideration. How do I make it do this? Thanks.

is this with two of the same item in the cart or 2 different items?

Can you send a copy of the confirm page so I can see how the shipping rate lookup is configured.

This is with two of the same item.

Attached is a pdf of the confirm page. UPS's website says will cost $17.42 to ship one of these packages to the location specified. The cart says $28.32 but when I get to the confirm page it is $16.99.

You can get to the website by going here: store.php

unfortunately, this is a limitation in the way the packages are calculated, they are calculated as one package per line item.

you can get around this by setting the option in the add to cart for If Item In cart to Add New instead of sum.

this will cause the cart to add a new line item if the item is already in the cart so that the packages will be calculated properly.

As for the price difference, make sure that the service you selected in the UPS Server Behavior is the same service you are selecting when comparing online. It is most likely giving a different price online because you are not selecting the same service.

I have another question. Is there an easy way to do the above mentioned? Like a hidden input field I need to put into the Add to Cart form that would make it do that? I don't want to have to rebuild this thing over again. Thanks.

html:
<form name="microleverage_1_ATC_0" method="POST" action="<?php echo $_SERVER["PHP_SELF"]; ?><?php echo (isset($_SERVER["QUERY_STRING"]) && $_SERVER["QUERY_STRING"] != "")?"?".$_SERVER["QUERY_STRING"]:""; ?>">
<input type="hidden" name="microleverage_1_ID_Add" value="0" />
<label>1 Gallon - $5.25: <input type="text" name="microleverage_1_Quantity_Add" value="1" size="4" /></label>
<input name="microleverage_1_ATC" type="image" value="Add to Cart" src="WA_eCart/Images/Deep Jungle/Btn5_EN_addtocart.gif" align="right" border="0" />
</form>

you just need to edit the add to cart server behavior to make the change.

Open the server behaviors panel:
Window -> Server Behaviors

in the list of server behaviors, double click the eCart Add to Cart server behavior, then change the If Item In Cart behavior from sum to Add New.
