Hi Eric, How do I do All the Steps You Have Recommended?

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your help. My questions are: how do I export the files from the live server, then import it locally? After completing the necessary steps, where do I log in to in order to update some values in the wa_settings table? Further, how do I update the Root URL as well as the local and remote roots? Additionally, do I just need to upload it remotely to the live server and that's it or do I have to do something else for it to synchronize with the entire files? Lastly, what are the necessary steps I have to do to get a remote access to MySQL and how do I upload the files to MySQl afterward to edit the files. Thank you again, Eric, for helping this newbie.

Sincerely,

Al

It is recommended to install the PowerStore directly on your live server. The instructions included in the read me file will give you the steps for getting things setup.

We have an additional guide on uploading the files to the live server here:

sp_upload_files.php

Once you have the files on the server you can then go through the installation process and begin using your PowerStore. If you would like to modify any of the design parts you can download the css or template file locally to work on it, then upload it back to your server when you are done.

I would not suggest trying to port it from one location to the next without knowing how to go in and update the db or do any db importing or exporting.
