How can I streamline the checkout process? Help, need ideas!

Hi, I have the shopping cart, registration, login, checkout, confirm and download center set up exactly as described in the guides. I use PayPal Pro.

Everything works fine -- EXCEPT sales have declined 75% -- and my google analytics shows they put items in the cart, but drop out of the sales process either registering or logging in.

QUESTION: Is there a way to go straight from shopping cart directly to checkout while keeping the download center working properly? Maybe somehow have the checkout simultaneiously work as a registration and login page?

Please advise. Thanks.

Yes, that is possible, but it does require a lot of work. We do this in our PowerStore solution pack which you can see a demo of at this url:
