I'm getting a 500 error on the page that displays the captcha image which makes it hard to debug. It could be a permission issue that is preventing the image to display.

For now, please try adding these lines of code to the
WA_ValidationToolkit/WAVT_CaptchaSecurityImages.php file:

if(file_exists($font)) {
$font = realpath($font);
}

under this line of code:

$font = isset($_GET['font']) && $_GET['font'] != "" ? $_GET['font'] : 'Fonts/MOM_T___.TTF';

if you still having an issue, please contact your hosting provider to see if they could provide more information about the error on your page.

suPHP

i may have figured out what the issue is. the server is using suPHP.

This configuration does not allow me to any php_value/php_flag additions to .htaccess.

Could this be the reason for the error?

file uploads

suPHP - could this also prevent the file upload functions in Universal Email file manipulation to not work?

I have not used suPHP before so i can't really not sure. But You can try setting a local testing server to see if you will get the same issues. If you look at the following link:

support/

and then choose setting up a testing server under Dynamic Development Tutorials section, it will assist you in setting it up.

the script works without issue locally. On the web server this is what i get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagecreatefromjpeg() in /home/qweb/public_html/webassist/file_manipulation/helperphp.php on line 865

Thanks. This indicates that you don't have the GD library support enabled which is needed to view the captcha. Please contact you server hosting provider and ask them to enable GD Library on your server.
