Only got "Create Dynamic Array"?

I've only for "Create Dynamic Array" option in the Insert > WebAssist > Dynamic Dropdowns menu even after I've created the dynamic array. Should that be right?

Was expecting to see "Populate From Array" after I'd created that.

Thanks
Nathon.

go to Behaviors underneath Server Behaviors. Populate From Array is not a Server Behavior... haha took me forever to find that

Ah!

Jeesh, Behaviours and Server Behaviours...no wonder I wasn't seeing it! Thanks for the pointer.

I'm not sure I'm understanding this behaviour anyway though.

Do you know if it's possible to have a site visitor make a selection from a drop down menu (list of Regions) which would populate a Country drop down below it? My Region table, in my database, has a countryID integer field for each region, identifying the country that the region is in.

I use this table to create a recordset on the page which is then used to populate the dynamic menu of regions in my first drop down menu.

I'd thought that "Populate from Array" was going to update my Country drop down menu but I'm not sure I've understood the concept really and, as mentioned in my other post, the WebAssist documentation doesn't seem to deal with menu's, just lists.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Nathon.

well first need to create a dynamic array and make sure its correct your parent ID field should be linked to your parent recordset. the child ID field should also be present in the child ID field and the text as well should come from the parent field. next click on your menu and select behaviors (not server behaviors) and choose populate list from array. Array source should be the parent record set next source list would be the menu and target list should be the next menu that you want populate i.e country.

hmm not sure if that made sense maybe Ray could clarify or just check out the post he helped me with here showthread.php?t=1352
