Best way to combine PowerStore 3 and third party CSS templates?

Best way to combine PowerStore 3 and third party CSS templates?

Howdy,
Forgive the newbie questions...I'm setting up a PS3 store and want to change the CSS templates. Would a product like Theme-It or CSS Sculptor allow me to import a 3rd party layout into a PS3 site (I do have Dreamweaver), or is there a better way to modify the store theme without a great deal of prior CSS and PHP knowledge?

Edit: After further research, it appears that Theme-It is the way to go for modifying an existing website, while CSS Sculptor would be more for creating from scratch. Let me pose a different question now...would Site Sculptor, which includes Theme-It, give the ability to import my existing PS3 site and modify it the layout, or is the pre-built PS3 layout pretty much fixed?

Thanks,
Scott

Hi

anything can be changed depending on your ability - not a facetious comment!.

PS 3 is an out of the box working ecommerce store and as such comes with few if any options to change things.

However if you are happy with CSS you can chgange most of the colours and fonts. Theme it will do it as well.

If you are really happy with html and css you could create a complete site to yoru own design and then copy WA code to yoru own page. Thats a bit if a task and you wouold have to make sure that you named pages all the same etc.

PS3 is template based so your best move is to do the following.

Make sure everything is working out of the boxwith n o changes, emails, paypal etc etc

Then in dreamweaver modify the templates for each page type testing fully at each stage. Take lots of backups ;-)

Understood, which is why I'm asking about canned tools (my ability is not quite there yet). :P

I'm an aircraft engineer by day with some basic experience in programming, and just dabbling in web design as sort of a hobby interest for now as a stepping stone to launching an engineering business and supporting a wholesale business....so for now, I prefer the packaged solutions which allow me to dabble without actually becoming an expert.

I went ahead and bought Theme It a while ago to get started on modifying my Powerstore, and if it goes well, then I may add on CSS Sculptor and Site Sculpture later to build up some new sites.

their ablative

is there a way to view the entire index.php file in design view of dreamweaver, to be able to fully edit the look in design view as opposed to editing all the code?
