Check box instead of "add to cart"

Check box instead of "add to cart"

I have numerous unique products with unique IDs in database. I would prefer to use a checkbox rather then "add to cart" button to populate to the shopping cart.

I have tried various ways and found no solution. I have also looked through the forums and didn't find complete answers.

How can this be accomplished (simply) without using the ecart object solution? That will not work for me.

to add items to the cart created by eCart, you must use the eCart object.

There is a tutorial on the ecart support page for creating a multiple item add to cart interface using checkboxes:
ecart_multiple_atc.pdf

this is the only supported method of accomplishing this.

tutorial using repeat regions

I am not using repeat regions so I am not sure how to accomplish this. I have done the tutorial and tried using checked dynamic values as well. What I end up getting is either one item or the other but not both at the same time.

I am uploading some screen shots of data assist search, check boxes and the get info from recordset code

Thanks.

Look closley at your form element names, the first one is name correctly "ATCCheck[]" the second one is missing the square brackets. All of the checkboxes must have the same name "ATCCheck[]", the square brackets at the end are important for making it work.

Also, in the database search behavior, you have two search criteria set up, on for ATCCheck and the other for ATCCheck2, the one for ATCCheck 2 should be removed.

Another question about the check box solution

I found if you click submit without checking anything, all the items get added to shopping cart. How to I rectify that?

in data assist search, set the default Where clause to "0 != 0"
