Shipping based on weight and distance

You can use the ECART to calculate the shipping according to the weight of the products? Here in Brazil there is a system of sending goods and I would like to use their values on my site. These figures vary according to weight and destination of the product. How can I configure ECART for these variables?

If you are going to calculate your own shipping in this way, you would have to do some custom coding to get the distance and then calculate the cost by writing your own rule for it, which is something that is not supported, so I can't help you with it.

If there are any of the shipping providers that you can use, we just plug in to their shipping api which takes into consideration the weight and distance.

If I build a sql table with the cities where I will deliver and the delivery price, you can include it when calculating the shipping? For example: a person chooses the products you want and go to the Shopping Cart page. There, she selects the city where you live and then the value of shipping is added to the total value. Is it possible?

You would have the distances if you did that, but you would still have to manually write out the calculation, since our calculations aren't set up that way.

I understand. But is there any manual to assist me or just the topics of the Help?

Other than the documents in our support section there aren't any that go over the shipping:
ecart/

You could take a look at the database driven shipping documentation in the archived documentation section. As its archived documentation it was documentation written for a previous version of eCart, so it may not be completely up to date.
