Yahoo giving a Sorry, Forbidden 404 error

Yahoo is giving a Sorry, Forbidden 404 error when I submit my website with Surveyor. The website is running from .com. This not the only hosted server/site that I have tried to use Surveyor with and it generates the same error from Yahoo.

Can you send me a couple of links to your sitemaps so I can try submitting them and taking a look at them?

Having the same issue

I am having the same issue. The sitemap submits to Google, Bing, and Ask just fine, but generates an error for Yahoo and some other one (can't remember the name of it).

I always have this issue as well. I hit refresh 3-4 times and Yahoo finally accepts it.
it says some info is missing I believe.

I have seen sometimes that issues like this occur intermittently based on the Yahoo servers. If you have any trouble submitting the Yahoo site map you should login to your Yahoo account and submit it there. This should always get your site map submitted without issue.

I'm not getting the same response with the xml site map that you posted. What are the specific steps that you are taking when you are submitting this site map that causes this error? Please post back with as much detail as possible about this so that I can see the result that you are getting.

i normally just create the xml using surveyor, and then submit them using surveyor again...
i saw another error today when i did it again. sitemap there is at - well i don't think that matters. i believe there are some sites that have changed the rules of submission or are now pointing to different locations then the surveyor knows about...

If you are having any problems submitting site maps to Yahoo it would be a good idea to try using the Yahoo Site Explorer area to submit the sitemap. This way you can submit it directly to Yahoo and look at the other settings that you have. Here is a link:

siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/

I would suggest submitting the sitemap manually here to ensure that it is updated correctly.
