Variables returned by Paypal

I need to do a couple a special things for a client. One of them is that they sell daily pass, so they need to get the date the person's gonna go. I know how to add a field (which I'll turn into a date picker with jQuery after), but I need to put the informations on the confirmation page after that.

So, I need to put the name, maybe address and the date, because they want the customer to print that after and bring it with them...

1- is there a temporary page that Paypal redirects to in order to say whether is succeeded or not (and then redirects to checkout_success.php or checkout_failure.php) or is Paypal handling it?
2- What are the variables returned (post?) that I could use to put the info on the confirmation page?

Thank you.

The confirm page forwards to the checkout_success or checkout_failure based on the response sent back from PayPal.

To check the variables sent back from PayPal, you could go into the bindings panel and add the bindings to the page from there.
