Digital Download Center question - Using Universal Email 4 and only digital products

Digital Download Center question - Using Universal Email 4 and only digital products

1.) The documentation in the Create a Download Center refers to "Apply Digital File Pro" in it. I have Universal Email. Is the guide still correct?

2.) There's also a section about changing the code to see if it's a digital product. If I'm only selling digital products, can I skip this part?

The code is this:

SELECT COUNT(products.ProductLocation) AS DownloadCount
FROM orders INNER JOIN orderdetails on orders.OrderID = orderdetails.DetailOrderID INNER JOIN products on orderdetails.DetailProductID = products.ProductID
WHERE orders.OrderUserID = paramUserID

Please advise. Thanks.

1) yes, the steps are still correct, just the access points for the download File behavior is changed.

to access the download file behavior, go to Insert -> WebAssist -> File Manipulation

2) Yes, if you only sell digital goods, you do not need to create this recordset. it is only needed if you sell both physical and digital goods.

When I go to Insert -> WebAssist -- I don't have that option. It just says Universal Email with no subdirectory or option? What do I do?

it sounds like you have Universal Email 3 installed.

digital File pro was integrated with Universal Email 4, if you are using Universal Email 3, you will need to have Digital File Pro 2 installed.

To aces the download file server behavoir using Universal Email 2, go to Insert -> WebAssist -> Digital File Pro -> Download File.

Upgraded to UE4, new problem

Hi Jason,

Thanks for getting me up to date. I bought and added UE 4. Now I get this when I login and go to download_center.php.

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

Thanks.

Thanks Jason

I bought and installed UE4. I deleted my download page, went thru the guide again with UE 4 and -- yea! It's working.

Thanks again.
