using a template with Security Assist wizard

I get the error with Security Assist
Error message: An unknown quantity error arose. This message comes after I the data of the data base entered. The data base is on the server.

If you are getting the unknown error occurred error message you should try creating a new DW site and setting up a new connection. Do you know if your db can be connected to remotely? If your host has disabled remote access, which is very common, you will not be able to access the db from within Dreamweaver.

It might be a good idea to setup a local testing server if this is the case, here are some links on this topic:

Security Assist Tutorial

After I have had a look at the Tutorials now already several times, I have not become really clever. I have installed xampp and have generated a data base. In the concrete case I try a simple Login, with username, password and email. I do no functioning Login. Are there maybe still other Tutorials?

The documentation that was linked to above was for the setting up a testing server. If you are past that and ready to begin using the tool you should start with the getting started guide on the Security Assist support page:

In order to use a template you must have a dwt type of template file in your site within the Templates folder. When you have a dwt type of template file in the Templates folder you will be able to access this portion of the interface.

If you make a template in DW it will create a dwt type of file and save it in the Templates folder in your site, this is the default built in behavior for DW.
