Unable to change TextField size

Mikel Jones

Unable to change TextField size

I created a simple registration form and added captcha security.
I used the default style, made changes to it, then saved it as a preset.

This is where I ran into problems.

I noticed that the text fields were huge and had to much padding so I went back into the editor and made the following changes...

Edit Desgn --> Form Elements --> Text -->

Size = Small
Width = 60
Padding "ALL" checked = 1

Apply --> Finish

Save as Preset checked.
Category: Normal
Design: Main

I saved all changes and uploaded the page.

No change to the page. All textfield elements are still big and have a 5 pixel padding.

Linkage: users_SimpReg.php

Note: When I go back into the editor and check the text element settings they have reverted back to X-Large. They do not seem to be saved when I save the style while other changes do seem to be saving properly.

What am I missing?

make sure that none of the form builder css files are open in Dreamweaver when editing the form.

Also make sure that none of them are set to be read only, or if you have enabled Dreamweaver's Check In / Check Out that all of the css files are checked out.

I don't enable DW Check In/Out, and I'm not sure I've set any of the file as read only. No form builder css are open too. I use later version of WA and DWCS6. Please help me ~~

the stand alone version of Form Builder is not compatible with Dreamweaver CS6.

To use form builder in Dreamweaver CS 6, you will need to upgrade to Data Bridge. the extensions that are compatible with DW CS6 are:

eCart 5 or 6
Data Bridge
Design Extender

are you making sure to upload the site files after editing the form?

are you getting any errors on editing the form?

saving the form settings as a preset?

No error. The padding element is just too stubborn. What I do is in Insert New Form>New From Blank. Then I customize all the elements. The padding element is just too stubborn. Whatever I change to the padding it keeps all to 5px.

I realize DW automatically open the all source code file including css in the tab. So what I do is I open blank page then I open Preset Manager, and create new preset from there, seems to work except this time checkbox and radio padding is stubborn, it keeps to 2px.

I use local testing server. The above problem appear both during preview and after finish (on web page).
