Unable to change TextField size

I created a simple registration form and added captcha security.
I used the default style, made changes to it, then saved it as a preset.

This is where I ran into problems.

I noticed that the text fields were huge and had to much padding so I went back into the editor and made the following changes...

Edit Desgn --> Form Elements --> Text -->

Size = Small
Width = 60
Padding "ALL" checked = 1

Apply --> Finish

Save as Preset checked.
Category: Normal
Design: Main

I saved all changes and uploaded the page.

No change to the page. All textfield elements are still big and have a 5 pixel padding.

Linkage: users_SimpReg.php

Note: When I go back into the editor and check the text element settings they have reverted back to X-Large. They do not seem to be saved when I save the style while other changes do seem to be saving properly.

What am I missing?
