Cannot Edit in Fireworks

When clicking on the Fireworks icon in the image editor Fireworks opens, but a message box displays that says the file cannot be found.

Using CS4 on both

Does this happen with every image you try?

When you select the image using 'Theme-It' and click the fireworks icon, do you get the 'Find Source' dialogue box when Fireworks opens? Which option are you selecting, ('Use a PNG', or 'Use This File')?

The 'Use This File' option should work - Is this where you are getting the error message?

Try using the 'Use a PNG' option, and browse to find the image file on your PC. That should get you by until someone posts with the proper fix.

NOTE: If you don't get the 'Find Source' dialogue box in Fireworks, enable it in FW Menu - Edit > Preferences > Launch And Edit > and choose 'Ask When Launching' from the select lists.

Fireworks not opening

I get the message when I click on the Fireworks icon in Theme it. I do not even a option to choose format. A dialogue box opens even before Fireworks should give option saying that it cannot find the file.

CS5 now incompatible

Upgraded to DW CS5 - Theme-it shows as compatible. Using Fireworks CS4. When clicking on Fireworks icon to edit image DW crashes.

With reference to closed ticket regarding this matter. I did download a replacement wa_managetheme.js file and copied it over to DW5 Commands folder - no difference. Still crashes.

I just wanted to confirm a couple of details. Do you have version 1.0.2 installed in DW CS5? Also, before upgrading were you able to use the updated file to do this same thing with DW CS4 and Fireworks CS4? Please post back with this info so that we can look into this further.

Fireworks

I'm curious as to what you did to the table in Dreamweaver before you went back to edit it in Fireworks. If we can find out what you did to it after inserting it and before you clicked the Edit button, I think we'll get to the bottom of this.
