Client Validation - Problem with more than one form on one page.

Client Validation - Problem with more than one form on one page.

I have three or four forms on a page and whenever I add Client Validation it works just fine. When I reopen the page in Dreamweaver, however, Validation Toolkit appears to wipe the validation!

In particular, the "Submit if valid" sets itself to "None", rendering the validation useless.

Also, checking the individual validations for each form field, I have a list of forms/fields, but instead of calling them by their form names they're listed like form[0], form[1], form[2], etc. Is that correct?

Would appreciate any advice as to why it's wiping the "Submit if valid" setting. Thanks.

Regards
Nath.

What is the version of Validation Toolkit or Form Builder that you are using, also what is the OS and DW version you are working with?

Please post back with this info and a copy of the page after you have applied the validations but before you have tried to edit them.

When it comes to the form names it is ok to reference them with a subscript like this, it should not have any effect.

v2.3.5

Hi Eric,

I'm using Windows, ASP, and Dreamweaver 8.0.2.
I'm using Validation Toolkit version 2.3.5.

It's not me that's referencing the forms with subscript, it's Validation Toolkit. Each of my forms has a clearly identifiable name, which I thought would appear in the drop down of the wizard but, like I say, instead I get form[0], form[1], form[2], etc.

Thanks for the assistance. Hear from you soon.
Regards
Nath.

oops

Sorry Eric, I meant to say that the pages are within a members area of the website I am developing. Also, I don't think I can upload an .asp file via this forum, or can I?

How do I get the file to you?

Appreciate the help, thanks.
Regards
Nath.

You can send me the file by adding it to a zip archive and uploading the zip. I will check it out on my end to help determine what is going on.

zip attached

Thanks Eric. Zip attached.

This file is working, online, just now. If I were to open it in DW now though, it would wipe the "Submit if valid" to "None". It's very odd.
