Payment Gateways

Can anyone advise how difficult it is to modify the store to accept other gateways. My problem is I live in Ireland, Europe. I have a paypal account so I have Website payments Standard and Express Checkout available. Paypal payments Pro is not available in Ireland. I need to give Customers who do not have, and do not wish to setup a paypal account, a means to pay using their credit cards. I do not have Authorize.Net available either since I need an american Bank Account.
It is my understanding Express Checkout is available to me so this will cater for the people with paypal accounts. Is it possible to modify powerstore to accept Website payments Standard so anyone without a paypal account can still just use their credit cards on paypal's secure site.

I am currently investigating Companies in Ireland which provide similiar services to Authorize .NET in the hope I can modify code to accomodate?
What in your opinion might be an easy solution to my problems??

Thanks in advance for any assistance and advise

David

I'm not sure what version of PowerStore you have, but powerstore 2 and 3 gives you the ability to use paypal express check out and paypal payments pro. And if paypal payment pro works in Ireland then you should be able to use it as long as you have the correct credentials from PayPal.

Payment Gateways

Hi

The problem is Paypal payments pro is not available in Ireland. Using Express checkout is only good if the customer has a paypal account. If the customer does not have a paypal account and does not want to set one up then he or she has no way of paying using their credit card directly. I can't use Authorize.Net either since one has to have an American Bank account and possibly some other restrictions also. I can most likely find alternatives to Authorize.Net here in Ireland ( eg. sagepay.com ) but would like to know if in your opinion it is a difficult or easy change to make within Powerstore3. Alternatively, is there any other gateway out there, which is available in Ireland, for which powerstore can be modified to use.

Many Thanks
David

If sagepay is available in Ireland, then you should be able to modify the Powerstore to use sagepay. We have a document that explains the steps to take to change the gateway in powerstore:

powerstore/

and click on Changing your gateway with eCart.
