SiteImport 3 not working

I had SiteImport 2 which did not work with my DW CS3 (MacOS 10.5-10.6.2). So I purchased recently SiteImport 3 hoping that things would get better. It still does not work in exactly the same way: after imputing the data and url to be imported, the module stalls and nothing happens. Cannot get back to the input screen, and no button works. I need to restart DWCS3 in order to access the input screen again. And again nothing works.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled SI3 and tried the recommended solutions here:

the specific URL is:

I have also tried other urls (some that I manage), including my own site on my own server. Nothing works.

As I said, SI3 just stalls and nothing happens. I have other similar programs that do the job, SI3 just does not work.

I just want to make you have tried Renaming your configuration folder, and installed the latest version which is version 3.0.3.

I did a quick test on the url you have posted, and noticed that only one page gets imported, since all the links on that page are referring to a different domain name.


Let me know if renaming your configuration folder resolved you issue.

SI3 still not working

Yes, I have done all that. It's still not working.

As other posts have noted, this software does not work at all for many people. May work for some, but does not work for all.

When one buys software from a reputable vendor, especially if there is no trial version, one expects the software to at the very least... work. There could be bugs, some things to iron out, but it should minimally work. The buyer should not be expected to sort out by himself the software's problems. Or to try to make it work.

I do not have the inclination nor the time to pursue this further. I will ask for my money back from your sales department.
