SiteImport 3 not working

I had SiteImport 2 which did not work with my DW CS3 (MacOS 10.5-10.6.2). So I purchased recently SiteImport 3 hoping that things would get better. It still does not work in exactly the same way: after imputing the data and url to be imported, the module stalls and nothing happens. Cannot get back to the input screen, and no button works. I need to restart DWCS3 in order to access the input screen again. And again nothing works.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled SI3 and tried the recommended solutions here:
