well I messed something up
I admit it, I am totally lost. I am trying to set this up using a testing server (WAMP). I figured I would play around with it that way before I try uploading anything to my godaddy server. Here's what I have done so far.
1. defined a site in dw (Root folder on my desktop)copied all files from within the cms100 folder into it.
2. copied the sql into db using phpMyadmin
3. copied all files from root folder on desktop and pasted them into the wamp/www folder
4. in dw , I set server model to php Mysql..access to local/network...testing server folder to C:\wamp\www\...url prefix to localhost/
5. I set up the connections via the databases tab in dw (it kept telling me I need to set a password, but I haven't set one yet in wamp so I skipped it..that's okay for local testing...right?)I tested the connection, that was ok.
next I figured I would see if it was working so far, so I did a preview in chrome in dw and got a boatload of errors..
the page I was trying to preview was the admin/index.php page from the cms100 folder

Any help as to where I screwed up would be greatly appreciated.
Also, why is it that when I look at the files tab in dw..all the cms files are read only? Is there something I missed so I can edit them in dw, or do I need to manually make each one of those writable? Or is that a no-no?
