International phone numbers issue (checkout form)
Hello,
The input code including validations for telephone numbers on the checkout page are as follows:
<input id="Phone_Number" name="Phone_Number" type="text" value="<?php echo(WA_coalesce(array(WA_getSavedFormValue("CheckoutWizard_Basic_Default","Phone_Number"),(isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("kofiAdonateconfirmcart","Phone_Number"):"")))); ?>" class="formTextfield_Large" tabindex="5" pattern="\(\d{3}\) \d{3}[\-]\d{4}" title="Please enter a 10 digit phone number" required="true" onBlur="WAValidatePN(document.getElementById('CheckoutWizard_Basic_Default').Phone_Number,'',false,true,'x (xxx) xxx-xxxx',document.getElementById('CheckoutWizard_Basic_Default').Phone_Number,0,true);">
I am concerned with the string of x's that seem to indicate the "picture" for telephone formats.
I am concerned that I have foreign people coming in to make Donations, and who then find that they cannot enter a valid number in that formatl
How would you advise that I handle this? I.e. somehow validate that only numbers are permissible, while allowing for greater flexibility of inputs.
Thank you,
