PowerCMS login problem

Hi there,

I've installed PowerCMS locally for testing and setup and then transferred the installation online to a client's site. The client has since been updating the CMS part of the site at his end. Everything worked fine up to now...

I merely wanted to make an update to the index.php file in Dreamweaver which includes the CMS section. When transferring the index.php page online, I selected 'Yes' to the 'transfer dependent files' option which then proceeded to overwrite quite a number of online files with the local files I have on my computer.

I managed to fix the connection issues and also found your suggestion from another forum here: showthread.php?t=15730 which I did (must admit I'm not too sure what commenting out that line really did). But either way the index.php file works now with the text additions the client has made. Phew!

BUT... my problem now is the login page to edit the CMS part of the page comes up, but the login fails. I don't think the client has changed their login details - I haven't notified them of this technical issue yet ;-), I just would like to get it working without them even knowing there is an issue if possible.

Do you have any thoughts as to why this is not working? My problem is that the previous online files are now gone, all I have are my local files.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
