Physical dims and file size control of images
I have an image upload page allowing logged in users to upload photos to their own folder.
My goal is for my page to display image file sizes of 50Kb or less (and uploaded?) and have the physical dims set so they display in a prescribed height and width. Only logged in users can upload images to their own directory.
I'm assuming my options are;
1. set image physical dims and file size limits at the point of upload - so a user would have resize their image elsewhere before uploading so as to meet these conditions.
or
2. include the functionality in the upload process to resize the image dims and file-size dynamically.
The latter would benefit the user as its an all in one solution, however i'd take a hit on the bandwidth with larger file uploads.
What would you suggest?
Thanks, Paul.
